Tall Windows

The sun streaming through this two-story, south-facing window posed a significant challenge, making the area difficult to enjoy due to excessive glare and heat during the summer months.

The homeowners’ temporary solution was using store-bought blackout grommet panels, which addressed the issue but lacked style and polish. Mary Jo was tasked with elevating their solution by introducing a more sophisticated design that still effectively controlled light, heat, and glare while enhancing the room’s overall aesthetic.

Project Overview:

This custom color, block style pinch pleat side panels, in blue and gray, frames this beautiful window and enhances the view. A decorative tape accents the drapes an connects the colors. Black wrought iron rods hold the weight of this striking 2 story window treatment.

For functionality and to reduced UV rays into the room, a Hunter Douglas motorized screen shade was installed. The remote control adds ease of use for the client.
